Heya !!

X² + 4X - 4 = 0

A = Coefficient of X² = 1

B = Coefficient of X = 4

And,

C = Constant term = -4

Therefore,

Discriminant ( D ) = B²-4AC

=> (4)² - 4 × 1 × -4

=> 16+16

=> 32

Therefore,

Root's of the given equations are :

-B + ✓D/2A and -B - ✓D/2A

-4 + ✓32 / 2 and -4 - ✓32/2

-4 + 4✓2 / 2 and -4 - 4✓2/2

2 ( -2 + 2✓2)/2 and -2 ( 2 + 2✓2 ) /2

-2 + 2✓2 and -2 - 2✓2 .
