5x(x + 2) = 3 \\  {5x}^{2}  + 10 = 3 \\ 5 {x}^{2}  = 3 - 10 \\  {5x}^{2}  =  - 7 \\

Adding squares on both sides

 {5}^{2} x =  {( - 7)}^{2}  \\ 25x = 49 \\ x =  \frac{49}{25}  = 1.96
