let the numerator be A then denominator will be (A+7),
then
fraction= A/(A+7),
now according to the question, if numerator increased by 2 and denominator increased by 9 so We have
(A+2)/[(A+7) + 9] = A/(A+7),
(A+2)/(A+16) = A/(A+7),
(A+2)(A+7)=A(A+16),
A²+9A+14=A²+16A,
14=16A-9A,
14=7A,
then
A=14/7=2,
therefore
fraction = A/(A+7) = 2/(2+7) = 2/9
then
fraction= A/(A+7),
now according to the question, if numerator increased by 2 and denominator increased by 9 so We have
(A+2)/[(A+7) + 9] = A/(A+7),
(A+2)/(A+16) = A/(A+7),
(A+2)(A+7)=A(A+16),
A²+9A+14=A²+16A,
14=16A-9A,
14=7A,
then
A=14/7=2,
therefore
fraction = A/(A+7) = 2/(2+7) = 2/9
