Hey !!!!!

_______________________

a - b = 4. ....(I)

a + b = 7........(ii)

EQ. 1

a = 4+b

Keeping the Value if a in eq. (ii)

4+b+b = 7

4+2b = 7

2b = 3

b = 3/2

Putting the Value of b in eq. 1

a/1 - 3/2 = 4

2a - 3 /2 =4. (LCM)

2a - 3 = 8

2a = 11

a = 11/2

Now,

a = 11/2

b = 3/2

1st Part of Question : a^2 + b^2

(11/2) ^2 + (3/2) ^2

121/4 + 9/4

130/4

65/2

32.5

2nd Part of Question : ab

11/2 × 3/2

33/4

8.25

The Final values of (I) : 32.5 or 65/2

(ii) : 8.25 or 33/4
