it was launched because the Ottoman Empire come in Britisher hand and it was reumer that
Britisher would rule over Ottoman Empire

it was anxiety movement for Mohammed Ali and Shaukat Ali as well as Mahatma Gandhi.

so Mahatma Gandhi decided to bring Hindu and Muslim under a single umbrella so that he started Khilafat movement with the Mohammed Ali and Shaukat Ali.
