Whenever a point gets reflected on the x-axis , then the y-coordinate changes its sign .

Also when a point gets reflected on the y-axis , then the x-coordinate changes its sign .

Take the example of ( x,y )

On reflection on the x-axis :

point becomes ( x,-y )

On reflection on the y-axis :

point becomes ( -x,-y )

Hence when a point is reflected on the x axis and then on the y axis both the coordinates changes their respective sign .

( x,y ) \rightarrow ( -x,-y )

A ( 2,-7 )

Upon reflection on both axes ,

A will become ( - 2 , 7 )

A(2,-7)\rightarrow A''(-2,7)

B ( -3 ,-6 )

Upon reflection on both axes ,

A will become ( 3 , 6 )

B(-3,-6)\rightarrow B''( 3,6)

C ( -4, 2 )

Upon reflection on both axes ,

C will become ( 4 , -2 )

C(-4,2)\rightarrow C''(4,-2)

The vertices of the triangle A''B''C'' are :

A''( - 2 ,  7 )

B''(  3 ,  6 )

C''( 4 , -2 )

Answer:

The vertices of the triangle A''B''C'' are :

A''( - 2 ,  7 )

B''(  3 ,  6 )

C''( 4 , -2 )

Step-by-step explanation:

When the points are reflected the signs of each coordinate will change and they will become opposite .

Hence the answer is :

The vertices of the triangle A''B''C'' are :

A''( - 2 ,  7 )

B''(  3 ,  6 )

C''( 4 , -2 )
