y = x + 2    ..(1)

y = 2x + 3    ..(2)

subtracting 1 from 2 , we get ;

0 = x + 1

x = -1

now putting value of x in equation 1 we will get ,

y = -1 +2

y = 1

therefore  ,

( x ,y )  =  (-1 ,1 ).

now if we talk graphically ,

both the equation are in 2nd quadrant so when we draw these 2 straight line on graph we will see they intersect.
