Heya !!

u = 0

time(1) = t1

we know v = u + at

In first case

v = at

t = v/a

or t1 = v/a1

acceleration (1) = a1

time(2) = t2

acceleration(2) = -a2

in the second case :

t2 = v /-a2

t1/t2

=  -a2 / a1

TheEdward: negative sign represent direction
TheEdward: as acceleration is a vector quantity
TheEdward: direction of retardation is opposite to positive acceleration before breaks which is negative
AnjaliUpadhyay1: but if I have to tick the correct answer then
AnjaliUpadhyay1: a2/a1 or -a2/a1
TheEdward: is -a2/a1 in the options ?
AnjaliUpadhyay1: no but if it is given then
TheEdward: It must be there
TheEdward: if it isn't tick the a2/a1
AnjaliUpadhyay1: okk and thanx
