Trial and error method

take 18 ....nine times the number i, e 18*9 = 162

now inter change the digits => 81

twice the number 81*2= 162

27*9 = 243

interchange digit 72= 72*2= 144

Take 36

36*9 =324

interchange and twice the number 63*2 =126

Take 46

46*9 = 414

interchange => 64

twice the number 64*2 = 128

so clearly the number is 18 (1,8)
