Fa=mgsin37°

Fb=mgcos37°=N

Fc=frictional force=N

T=Tension in string

As the block is connected to a fixed part,so it will not move

so in this case

Resultant force should be equal to zero

so,

Fa-(Fc+T)=0

here we are seeing that

Fa=mgsin37°

Fa=5×10×3/5

Fa=30N

and Fc=1×5×10×4/5 =40

this shows that that frictional force is enough to stop it,,,

so tension will be 0

similarly in second case

Fa=30N

Fc=1/2 ×mgcos37

Fc=1/2 ×5×10×4/5

Fc=20N

here T=30-20=10N, because frictional force is not enough to maintain the equilibrium of block
