We have two triangles ABC and PQR such that AD and PM are medians corresponding to BC and QR respectively. Also

AB/PQ = AC/PR = AD/PM ......1

AB/PQ = 1/2BC/1/2PR = AD/PM

AB/PQ = BD/QM = AD/PM

ABD~PQM

since, the corresponding angles of similar triangles are equal.

<ABD = <PQM

<ABC = <PQR

Now in ABC and PQR

<ABC = <PQR

AB/PQ = BC/PQ

Using SAS similarity, we get

ABC~PQR

Hence proved
