Let initial investment I=32000

Loss in first year of investment= 5%

So the net investment = 32000- (5% of 32000)
= 32000-1600=30400

In the second year he gets profit of 10%

So the budget becomes 30400+(10% of 30400)=30400+3040=33800

In the third year of investment he gets profit of 12.5 %

So the budget now becomes 33800+( 12% of 33800)=33800+4225=38025

So net profit in three years = 38025-32000=6025

Profit in percentage = (6025÷32000)×100=18.82

sudeepkumar912: your answer is wrong profit will be 5620
DibyaSampad: How
sudeepkumar912: here principal=₹32000, time=3years and rate of interest= 5% in thd first year as it is loss, 2nd year= 10%profit and 3rd year= 12 1/2% so amount=32000(1-5/100)*(1+10/100)*(1+25/100) after all the multiplication and division amount comes=₹37620 so profit=amount-principal then profit=37620-32000=₹5620 answer
