Answer:

by solving the equations by lcm

9y+4x=-2xy

6y+4x=-xy

now try eliminating xy mltiply equation 2 with 2 and subtract

-3y-4x=0

y=4x/3

substitute in equation 1

12x+4x=-2xy

we cancel x saying that x is not equal to 0 then y=-8

similarly put y in equation 2 or 1

i put in 2

-48 +4x=8x

x=-12

so, x=-12,y=-8

i hope it helps

enjoy :)

Given:

3/2x + 2/3y = -1/3

3/4x + 1/2y = -1/8

Solution:

3/2x + 2/3y = -1/3 ______(1)

3/4x + 1/2y = -1/8 ______(2)

Multiply equation (1) by 1/2

1/2(3/2x + 2/3y = -1/3)

= 3/4x + 1/3y = -1/6 _____(3)

Subtract equation (2) from equation (3)

3/4x + 1/2y - (3/4x + 1/3y) = -1/6 - (-1/8)

3/4x - 1/2y - 3/4x - 1/3y = -1/6 + 1/8

(-3-2)/6y = (-4+3)/24

(-5)/6y = -1/2

y = (-1/2 × -6/5)

y = 3/5

Put y = 3/5 in equation (2)

3/4x + (1/2 × 3/5) = -1/8

3/4x + 3/10 = -1/8

3/4x = -1/8 - 3/10

3/4x = (-5-12)/40

3/4x = -17/40

x = -17/40 × 4/3

x = -17/30

We get,

  • x = -17/30
  • y = 3/5
