solve the questions 22 and 23

Area of square = Area of rectangle.....
S×S= L×B
24×24=36×B
(Required to find B..)
36×B=24×24
B=24×24/36
B=16m
Hence the breadth of the rectangle is 16m..

23...
Perimeter of rectangle 1 =Perimeter of rectangle 2
2(L+B)=2(L+B)
Let x be the ratio of the second rectangle..

2(15+10)=2(4x+1x)
2(25)=2(5x)
25=5x
5x=25
x=5m
4x=4(5)=20m
1x=x=5m
Hence the dimensions of the rectangle are 20m and 5m..

area or square = side × side = 24m × 24m = 576m^2
area of rectangle=l×b
THEN,
area of square = area of rectangle
l×b=576m^2
36m×b=576m^2
b=(576/36)m=16m

23)
perimeter of first rectangular field=2(l+b)=2(15m+10m)=2×25m=50m
LET THE RATIO BE x
4x:x
lenght=4x
breadth=x
perimeter of first rectangle=perimeter of second rectangle
2(l+b)=50m
2(4x+x)=50m
2×5x=50m
10x=50m
x=(50/10)m=5m

lenght=4x=4×5m=20m
breadth=x=5m
