f= 1/P = [1/(-2.5)] m = {[1/(-2.5)]x100} cm = -40 cm

focal length = -40 cm

Therefore statement 1 is correct

the far point is the maximum distance upto which a person can see clearly

it will be equal to the focal length of the lens given

Therefore statement 2 is incorrect

the defect this person is suffering from is myopia(near sightednesa)

Therefore statement 4 is incorrect

concave lenses are used to correct the defect myopia

Therefore statement 3 is correct
