I am a number
              tell my identity.
 take me two times over
               and add a thirty six.
to reach a century
               and you still need four.

let x be the number.
100 - (2x + 36) = 4
100 - 2x- 36 = 4
2x = 60
=>x = 30

Answer 2

let the number be = x

take me two times over= 2x

add 36 = 2x+36

century= 100

reach a century = 100 - ( 2x +36 )

still need four = 100-(2x+36)=4

= 100-2x-36=4

= 2x=60

X=60/2

X= 30

Therefore the number is " 30 ".
