by subsitution method

6x-3y=12 Or 3(2x-y) =12 => 2x-y= 4....(1)

2x+3y=16..(2)

from 1 equation

x=4+y/2...(3)

putting this value of x in 2 equation

4+y+3y=16

4y= 16-4

4y= 12

y=3

Substituting this value of y in (3) equation, we get

x= 4-3/2

x= 1/2

Hence the value of x = 1/2 and y= 3
