y= 4x-20 / 3 -------   eqn 1

4x +2y =-5

from eqn 1

4x + 2(4x-20/3) = -5

4x + (8x-40/3) = -5

by taking l.c.m of 1 and 3 we have 3 as l.c.m

12x + 8x-40 = -15

20x - 40 =-15

20x = 40 - 15

20x = 25

x=5/4

putting value in eqn 2

4*5/4 +2y = -5

5 + 2y = -5

2y = -10

y= -5

x= 5/4

there is another method also but someone solved it fast before me so i tried other method to clear ur concepts :)
