4x + 3y = -10    ---(1)

4x + y = -14     ---(2)

From (2),

4x + y = -14

y = -14 -4x     ---(3)

Substitute the value of y in (1),

4x + (-14 -4x) = -14

4x - 4x -14 = -14

-14 = -14

Since the statement is true, therefore the pair of linear equations have infinitely many solutions.
