Solve the simultaneous equations 6x – 3y = -10; 3x + 5y – 8 = 0, using Cramer’s rule.

Answer:

6x-3y=-10

3x+5y=8

multiply eq by 2 we get

6x-3y=-10

6x+10y=16

subtract

-13y=-26

y=2

put in eq 1 we get

6x-3×2=-10

6x-6=-10

6x=-10+6

6x=-4

x=-2/3
