x - 3y = 10 ________ eq1

x - 7y = -30 _______eq2

from eq 1__ x = 10 + 3y

assume any value of y and find corresponding values of x.

let y = 1

x = 10 + 3 (1)

x = 10 + 3

x = 13

again, let y = 2

x = 10 + 3 (2)

= 10 + 6

x = 16

now from eq2 __ x = -30 + 7y

assume any value of y and find corresponding values of x.

ley y = 1 __

x = -30 + 7(1)

x = -30 + 7

x = -23

again, y = 2

x = -30 + 7(2)

= -30 + 14

x = -16

draw a graph by using these points :

(13,1) , (16,2) of eq 1 and (-23,1) , (-16,2) of eq2
