Let the second no. be x

=> x +(-14)= -2
=> x - 14= -2
=> x = -2+14
x = -12.

Let no. Be x

-14+x=-2

After transposition -14 goes to other side of the equation and it's sign gets changed from negative to positive

x=-2+14(- + = -)

=14-2=12

Let's check answer

12+-14=-2

Hence,our answer is correct
