The two equation meet the x-axis at point

Equation 1 - at the point B (1,0)

Equation 2- at the point C (4,0)

and the two equation meets at the point A (3,2)

To find the area of the triangle

A=\frac{1}{2}\times b\times h

From the graph , where height h=2 , base b=3

A=\frac{1}{2}\times 3\times 2

A=3 unit^2

Therefore, Area = 3 square unit.
