Answer:

  • x = 32/19
  • y = 18/19

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 7y = 10 ------ (1)

3x + y = 6 ------ (2)

Multiplying Equation (2) by 7.

7(3x + y) = 7 × 6

→ 21x + 7y = 42 ------ (3)

Now subtracting Equation (1) from Equation (3).

Equation (3) - Equation (1)

→ (21x + 7y) - (2x + 7y) = 42 - 10

→ 21x + 7y - 2y - 7y = 32

→ 19x = 32

→ x = 32/19

Now putting the value of x in Equation (2)

3x + y = 6

→ y = 6 - 3x

→ y = 6 - (3 × 32/19)

→ y = 18/19

So,

  • x = 32/19
  • x = 32/19y = 18/19

I have solved using Elimination Method. You can use other methods too.

Thanks !
