Answer:

Y=6 and Z=-3

Step-by-step explanation:

The equations are

3y + 2z = 12__________equation 1

y - z = 9__________equation 1

We don't have similar terms to cancel out . So multiply equation 2 with 2,

3y + 2z = 12

2y - 2z = 18

__________

5y = 30

y = 30/5

y = 6

Substitute the value of y in equation 2,

y-z=9

z = y-9

z = 6-9

z = -3

Hope it helps you!

3y+2z=12........1 eq.

y-z=9...............2 eq.

from 2 eq.

y=9+z..............3 eq.

put eq.3 in eq.1

3(9+z)+2z=12

27+3z+2z=12

27+5z=12

5z=12-27

5z=(-15)

z=(-15)/5

z=(-3)

y=9+(-3)=6
