x=y-6 (i)

putting this value of x in equation (ii)

we get

y= -2x-3

= -2(y-6)-3

= -2y+|2-3

y= -2y+9

y+2y =9

3y=9

y =3

putting this value of y in equation (i)

we get x

x =y-6

x=3-6

x= -3

y-x=6------------------(1)

y+2x=-3--------------(2)

subtracting (2)from (1) we get

-3x=9

x=9/-3

×=-3

put the value of x=-3in eqn. (1)

y=-3+6

y=3 answer

hence x=-3 and y=3
