Answer:

-5x+13y= -7 ............ (i)

5x+4y = 24........... (ii)

Adding equation (i) and (ii), we get

17y=17

or, y=1

Substituting y in equation (ii) , we get

5x+4=24

or, 5x = 20

or, x = 4

Therefore, the solutions of the linear equation are-

x=4

y=1
