Q 14) height- 16 cm

base -12 cm

Area of parallelogram = B × H

= 12×16 = 192 cm

therefore, the area of parallelogram is 192 cm.

Q 13) first we will find area of the triangle.

the triangle we will divide in two so we will get two right angle triangle. whose height will be 6.4 cm

and base will be 3 cm.

( look at the pic so that you will understand)

Area of right angle triangle will be - base × height

= 6.4 × 3

= 19.2cm

∆ so first triangle is divided into two parts so the area of the whole triangle will be 19.2 + 19.2 = 38.4 cm

∆ second triangle area will be also same as first triangle that's 38.4 cm.

∆ add this two 38.4 + 38.4= 76.8 cm

∆ so area of both the triangle is 76.8 cm

Now area of the rectangle will be = 14× 6 = 84cm

Subtract the the triangle area from the total area of rectangle you will get the shaded region.

84 - 76.8

7.2cm

So the shaded area is 7.2 cm.
