x - 3 = 4(x - 6) \\  \\ x - 3 = 4x - 24 \\  \\  - 3 + 24 = 4x - x \\  \\ 3x = 21 \\  \\ x =  \frac{21}{3} \\  \\ x = 7 \: answer

x - 3 = 4( \times  - 6) \\  x - 3 = 4x - 24 \\

3+24=4x−x

3x=21

x= 3/ 21

x=7
