4. Area of circle = pi r^2
so semicircular region ==> pir^2 /2
==> 22/7 x 14 x 14 x 1/2
==> 22 x 14 ==> 308 cm square

5. Split the figure into one rectangle and two semicircles

Area of rectangle
l = 36-7-7 = 36-14 = 22
b = 14
lb ==> 22x14 ==> 308

Area of 2 semicircle = area of one circle
pi r squared ==> 7 x 22/7 x 7 ==> 154

total area = 154+308 ==> 462

6. Area of ABCD = area of parallelogram ==> bh

take height = y and CD = base = 31 cm

area = 31 x y
given area = 155
therefore y = 155/31 = 5 cm //
