Let us equate first equation

x=1-11y

substitute this x value in second equation.

8x+13y=2

8(1-11y)+13y=2

8-88y+13y=2

-75y=-6

y=-6/-75

= 2/25

substitute this y value in x value equation

x =1-11y

= 1-11(2/25

= 1-22/25

=3/25
