Solve these problems.
1-A stone is dropped from the
edge of a roof.(g=9.8m/s^2)
1. How long does it take to fall
4.9m ?
II. How fast does it move at the
end of that fall ?
TIL. How fast does it move at
the end of 7.9m ?
Med
IV.What is it's acceleration
after 1 s and after 2 s?

( 1 ) Given;

u = 0 m/s.

g = 9.8 m/s ^2

s = 4.9m

Now,

S = ut + 1/2 g t^2

=> 4.9 = 0 × t + 1/2 × 9.8 × t^2

=> 4.9 = 0 + 4.9 ×t^2

=> 4.9/4.9 = t^2

=> t^2 = 1.

=> t =1.

Speeding up While Falling Down

Gravity causes an object to fall toward the ground at a faster and faster velocity the longer the object falls. In fact, its velocity increases by 9.8 m/s2, so by 1 second after an object starts falling, its velocity is 9.8 m/s.

(3)

v2 + u2 = 2 * g * h

Since the stone is dropped, u = 0

v2 = 2 * g * h

v2 = 2 * 9.8 * 7.9

The velocity of the stone after travelling 7.9 m is

v = 12.44 m/s

(4)

If the velocity of a particle moving in a straight line changes uniformly (at a constant rate of change) from 5 m/s to 2 m/s over one second, its constant acceleration is −3 m/s2.
