multiply (1) by 2 and (2) by 5
we get,
10x-4y=26------(3),and
10x-15y=15------(4)
subtracting (3) and (4)
we get,
y= 1
Now putting the value of y in (1)
5x-2(1)=13
5x = 13 +2
5x=15
x=15/5
x=3
