Angle AEC = Angle ACE ( Isosceles Triangle)
Let angle AEC be X
X+X+40=180
2x=140
X=70

Angle BEC= 180- 70
= 110
Angle ECB= 180-70-75
=35
Angle EBC= 180-110-35
= 35

ANGLE EBC =ECB

Thus it forms an Isosceles Triangle so EB=EC

(2) given,
angle A=70°
you know that,
angle BOC=1/2×angleA

angle BOC=90°-1/2×angleA
=90°-1/2×70
=90°-35
=55
