the quation is 3x+4y=110     eq 1

                      7x+5y=170         eq2

by elimination method 3x+4y=110×5

                                     7x+5y=170×4

15x+20y=550

28x+20y=680

13x          =-130  

x=130/13  =10 cost of each pen is 10

puttin x in  eq 1        

30+4y=110

      4y=110-30

        4y=80

         y=80/4

    y=20

the rate of each pen is 10 and the rate of each notebook is 20
