let the bredth be x.

then perimeter =2(l+b)

                         =2(20+x)

                         =40+2x m

cost of fencing per m=rs. 25

total cost=rs. 1600

∴25 ×( 40+2x)=1600

40+2x=1600/25=64

2x=64-40=24

∴x=24/2=12 m

breadth=12 m

perimeter=2×(20+12)=64 m

area=20×12=240 m²
