CHCl3+Cl2=>CCl4+HCl

clealry we can see the reaction is balanced....

This reaction shows that 1moles of CHCl3 react completly with one mole of Cl2 to form one mole of CCl4 and one mole of HCl

mass of one mol of CHCl3=12+1+106.5=119.5g

mass of one mol of Cl2=35.5×2=71g

this shows that 119.5g of CHCl3 react with 71g of Cl2 completly

gram of CHCl3 required to react with one 1gCl2

=119.5/71=1.7g approx

25g of Cl2 required 25×1.7g =42.5g of CHCl3,,

but CHCl3 is more than that,,,,

this shows that Cl2 is less in reaction

so there will be partial reaction and Cl2 will he turned limiting reagent

{hope it helps}
