Answer:

(21) 1 / 2

(23) 2√a

Step-by-step explanation:

plzzz see the attachment

Now for question ( 21 )

(1) In second step we multiply numerator and denominator by conjugate of numerator.

(2) In third step applying identity,

a² - b² = ( a + b ) ( a - b )

(3) In fifth step we take out x as common from numerator and then x cancel out from numerator and denominator

(5) In sevnth step we put x = 0 in it and we get ans as 1 / 2 .

For question ( 23 )

(1) In second step we mutiply in numerator and denominator by conjugate of denominator

(2) In third step we apply identity,

a² - b² = ( a+ b ) ( a - b )

(3) In fifth step a and( -a ) cancel out each other

(4) In sixth step 2x cancel out from numerator and denominator

(5) In 8th step we put x= 0 in it and we get ans as

2√a
