Solution : -

Length of the wire = 3(3/4)m

Improper Fraction = 15/4m

One Piece of wire = 1(1/2)m

Improper Fraction = 3/2m

Other Piece of Wire = ?

Now : -

15/4 - 3/2

Firstly we will take L.C.M of all the Denominators..

L.C.M of 4 and 2 is 4

1×15 - 2×3/4

15 - 6/4

9/4m = 2(1/4)

Therefore , Other Piece of wire is 9/4m or 2(1/4)m long ...
