Given :√2x² - 3x - 2√2 = 0

√2x² - 4x + x - 2√2 = 0

[ 4 × 1 = 4 & - 4 +1 = - 3]

√2x(x - 2√2) + 1(x - 2√2) = 0

(√2x + 1) (x - 2√2) = 0

√2x + 1 = 0   or  x - 2√2 = 0  

√2x = - 1  or  x = 2√2

x =  - 1/√2  or  x = 2√2

Hence, the roots of the quadratic equation √2x² - 3x - 2√2 = 0 are - 1/√2  &  2√2 .
