Explanation:

initial velocity, u = 18.5 m/s

final velocity, v = 46.1 m/s

time, t = 2.47 secs

we know that,

v = u + at

substituting the values,

46.1 = 18.5 + a (2.44)

27.6 = a (2.44)

a = 27.6 / 2.47

= 11.17 m/s.........................(1)

we know that,

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

substituting the values,

distance = 18.5 × 2.47 + ( 1/2 ) 11.17 × 2.47 × 2.47

= 45.69 + 34.07

= 79.76 m.................(2)
