Given |f(x) - 9|

|\frac{4x^2 -7x-2}{x-2}-9}|

=> |\frac{4x^2 -7x-2-9(x-2)}{x-2}}|

=> |\frac{4x^2 -7x-2 - 9x + 18}{x-2}}|

=> |\frac{4x^2 -16x+16}{x-2}}|

=> |\frac{4(x - 2)^2}{x-2}}|

=> |4(x - 2)|

=> 4|x - 2|

Given:

|f(x) - 9| < (1/100) for 0 <  |x - 2| < δ.

=> 4|x - 2| < (1/100)

=> |x - 2| < (1/400)

Therefore,

δ = (1/400)
