Given Equation is 2x + 5y = (8/3) --------- (1)

Given Equation is 3x - 2y = (5/6) --------- (2)

On solving (1) * 3 & (2) * 2 , we get

= > 6x + 15y = 8

= > 6x - 4y = 5/3

--------------------

19y = 8 - (5/3)

19y = 19/3

y = 1/3.

Substitute y = (1/3) in (1), we get

= > 2x + 5y = (8/3)

= > 2x + 5(1/3) = (8/3)

= > 2x + 5/3 = 8/3

= > 2x = 8/3 - 5/3

= > 2x = 3/3

= > 2x = 1

= > x = 1/2.

Therefore the value of x = 1/2 and y = 1/3.

Hope this helps!

2x+5y = 8/3 ........1
3x-2y=5/6 .............2

now, multiply by 2 in equation 1st , we get -

4x+10y=16/3 ............3
and now multiply by 5 in equation 2nd we get -

15x-10y=25/6 ..............4

Now , add equation 3 and 4, we get -
x =1/2
So put this value of x in equation 3 , we get -
y= 1/3

so the value of x is 1/2 and the value of y is 1/3
