Given 15 – 2(5 – 3x) = 4(x – 3) + 13 ⇒ 15 – 10 + 6x = 4x – 12 + 13 ⇒ 5 + 6x = 4x + 1 ⇒ 6x – 4x = 1 – 5 ⇒ 2x = –4 ∴ x = –2

Answer:

 \: \: \: \: 15 - 2(5 - 3x) = 4(x - 3) + 13 \\ = > 15 - 10 + 6x = 4x - 12 + 13 \\ = > 6x - 4x = - 12 + 13 - 15 + 10 \\ = > 2x = - 27 + 23 \\ = > 2x = - 4 \\ = > x = \frac{ - 4}{2} \\ = > x = - 2
