a²+b²=(a+b)(a-b)
=(18.875+1.125)(18.875-1.125)
=20×17.75
=355

Hey Sagar ,
Here is your solution :
= ( 18.875 )² - ( 1.125 )²
Let, ( 18.875 = a ) and ( 1.125 = b ).
= a² - b²
Using identity , { ( a² - b² ) = ( a + b ) ( a - b ) }.
= ( a + b ) ( a - b )
By putting back the values of a and b.
= ( 18.875 + 1.125 ) ( 18.875 - 1.125 )
= ( 20 ) ( 17.75 )
= 355.
The required answer is 355.
Hope it helps !!
