a²+b²=(a+b)(a-b)

=(18.875+1.125)(18.875-1.125)
=20×17.75
=355

Hey Sagar ,

Here is your solution :

= ( 18.875 )² - ( 1.125 )²

Let, ( 18.875 = a ) and ( 1.125 = b ).

= a² - b²

Using identity , { ( a² - b² ) = ( a + b ) ( a - b ) }.

= ( a + b ) ( a - b )

By putting back the values of a and b.

= ( 18.875 + 1.125 ) ( 18.875 - 1.125 )

= ( 20 ) ( 17.75 )

= 355.


The required answer is 355.
