S O L U T I O N :

  • By Elimination Method :
  • 3x + 2y = 7.................(1)
  • 2x + y = 7...................(2)

Now,

Multiply by 2 in equation (2),we get;

\mapsto\tt{2(2x + y =7)}

\mapsto\tt{4x + 2y = 14.............(3)}

Subtracting in equation (1) & (3),we get;

\mapsto\tt{4x - 3x + 2y - 2y = 14 - 7}

\mapsto\tt{x+ 0 = 7}

\mapsto\bf{x = 7}

Putting the value of x in equation (1),we get;

\mapsto\tt{3(7) + 2y = 7}

\mapsto\tt{21 + 2y = 7}

\mapsto\tt{ 2y = 7 - 21}

\mapsto\tt{ 2y = -14}

\mapsto\tt{y = -\cancel{14/2}}

\mapsto\bf{y = -7}

Thus,

The value of x & y will be 7 & -7 .
