 \frac{5x + 3}{x + 5}  =  \frac{ - 6}{7}  \\ 7(5x + 3) =  - 6(x + 5) \\ 35x + 21 =  - 6x - 30 \\ 35x + 6x =  - 30 - 21 \\ 41x = -  51 \\ x =  -  \frac{ 51}{41}
