 (\sqrt{x - 1}  - 2 )+  (\sqrt{x - 1}  - 3) = 1

2 \sqrt{x - 1}  = 6

 \sqrt{x - 1}  = 3

x - 1 = 9

x = 10

is one of the solutions .
