Question 10
Q5) PQRS is a parallelogram (Fig 11.23). QM is the height from Q to SR and QN is the height from Q to PS. If SR = 12 cm and QM = 7.6 cm. Find:
(a) the area of the parallelogram PQRS
(b) QN, if PS = 8 cm
Solution
Transcript
Solution:
(a) Area of the parallelogram PQRS
=SR\times QM\left(Area\ =\ Base\times Height\right)
=12cm\times7.6cm
=91.2cm^2
(b) Area of the parallelogram PQRS
=\frac{1}{2}\times PS\times QN
91.2cm^2=\frac{1}{2}\times8cm\times QN
QN=\frac{91.2\times2}{8}=22.8cm
Step-by-step explanation:
hope i help you please make me brailist answer
Area of the parallelogram =
base×height
= PS×QM = SR×QN
or, 24× QM = 16×9
or, QM = 6 cm (Ans)
