Steps :-

5/2 (x−1)=1− 5/3

(3x−5)

2(x−1)=5−3(3x−5)

2x−2=5−9x+15

11x=22

x=2

Other type of solution :-

What is the solution to the linear equation (2/3) x - (1/2) = (1/3) + (5/6) x?

2/3 x - 1/2 = 1/3 + 5/6 x.

Combine like terms:

-1/2 - 1/3 = 5/6 x - 2/3 x.

Find like denominators, then add/subtract:

-3/6 - 2/6 = 5/6 x - 4/6 x.

-5/6 = 1/6 x.

Multiply both sides by the reciprocal to solve for x:

-5/6 times 6/1 = 6/1 times 1/6 x.

-30/6 = x.

-5 = x

To check it, put it back into the original equation:

2/3(-5) - 1/2 = 1/3 + 5/6(-5).

-10/3 - 1/2 = 1/3 + (-25/6).

Find like denominators then add/subtract:

-20/6 - 3/6 = 2/6 -25/6.

-23/6 = -23/6.

This is true so:

The answer is x = -5.
